We are proud to announce an exciting new partnership with the Listed Property Owners Club (LPOC) , based in Hartlip, nr Sittingbourne, Kent to provide a national solution for owners of listed homes to sell their properties via a specialist new service.

Established in 1993, LPOC is Britain's only advice service dedicated to keeping listed building owners informed of their obligations, rights, privileges and responsibilities. The club exists to provide practical information on property maintenance, guidance on grants, loans, VAT, insurance, mortgages and as a pressure group to challenge laws and views on behalf of listed property owners.

Extending the clubs services to include a national sales channel for listed properties is a natural progression as LPOC director Kellymarie Smith explains. “LPOC has already run a regional trial of listed property sales in the Kent area and the success of this trial has helped us to understand the demands and requirements of owners transacting property in this niche market. At LPOC we have years of experience and resources at hand to cover any questions arising from the sale and the after-sale of a listed property. What we identified as a gap in our offering was access to the complementary services of an established estate agent that has both knowledge and experience at the higher end of the market and a national presence, both online and offline, and this has led us directly to partner with Greyfox who satisfy all of our needs, and more importantly, those of our members.”

Indeed it is frustrations arising from listing properties with local estate agents that has led to this unique collaboration. It is not easy for a traditional estate agents to handle listed properties and it becomes frustrating for both owner and agent. In-depth knowledge of restrictions, surveys, prohibitions and how to overcome them requires years of experience and each house sale is a very individual affair. Kellymarie continues “Facilitating a listed property sale is a complex affair that requires special handling in order to ensure that owners and buyers receive all the assistance they require to ensure a smooth and happy sale. This starts from correctly valuing the property to reflect its type, listing, area and the subtler details such as historical and special interest value through to sourcing surveyors with relevant experience and mortgage and insurance providers sympathetic to the nuances of listed property ownership.”

Steve O'Neill, our managing director at Greyfox Estate Agents said 'We are delighted to be partnering with LPOC and see our role as ensuring that each property is exposed directly to those who are interested in owning such specialist properties. We will work closely with each vendor and LPOC to ensure we characterise each property to its fullest potential and support each one with images captured by a professional photographer before compiling a full-gloss, hard-copy set of particulars ready to be sent to prospective clients. In addition all properties will feature in the LPOC website and its bi-monthly magazine, Greyfox Prestige website along with full media support from our Greyfox Mayfair office to distribute details to national titles including The Times, Telegraph and Country Life. To cater for the expanding online audience, all properties will be listed via our direct feeds into the online property portals with a premium listing on Right Move and submission to Zoopla, Google Real Estate, Zoomf, Properly Live, Globrix and Mouse Price. At Greyfox we will also manage all of the usual estate agency roles including assisted viewings where necessary and progressing the sale, working closely of course with LPOC’.

With nearly half-a-million listed homes in the UK, we feel it won't be long before the distinctive Listed Property Owners For Sale board becomes a regular feature.
