Greyfox Surveying Services

Purchasing a house or other property to live or work in is the biggest financial commitment most people make in their lifetime. Money wisely spent on a survey can save the need to spend thousands on repairs or replacement, should you proceed without a survey. Your survey will also be a useful negotiating tool to further reduce the price you pay for your new home if a problem is found. If no significant repairs or expenditure are required then at least you have peace of mind.

When buying a home you should never rely solely on a mortgage valuation. The lenders themselves state within their terms and conditions that this should not be done.

A building survey is suitable for all residential properties and provides a comprehensive picture of their construction. It is likely to be needed if the property is, for example, of unusual construction, is dilapidated or has been extensively altered – or where a major conversion is planned.

As well as our pre-purchase inspections of both residential and commercial property, we offer the following services:

  • Preparation of plans and drawings for building work
  • Preparation of measured site surveys, lease and marketing plans
  • Undertaking Building Surveys of Residential & Commercial Property
  • Preparation and Negotiation of Schedules of Condition and Dilapidation
  • Project Management, from brief to handover
  • Undertaking Disabled Access Audits
  • Managing Maintenance programs for housing portfolios
  • Party Wall advice including acting as Party Wall Surveyors
  • Preparation of EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates)
