Walderslade
Originally a small village, Walderslade, meaning ‘wood in a valley’, is now a large suburb in the Medway Towns on the edge of the North Downs. The original village is now the commercial centre of the area where you’ll find Greyfox, a Co-op supermarket, Sherwood Oak public house, public library and a variety of other small businesses, restaurants and so on. On the outer edges of the area you’ll find the Alexandra Hospital and the Bridgewood Manor Hotel. Walderslade is divided into a number of separate developments called Lords Wood, Princes Park, Walderslade Woods, Davis Estate, Weedswood and the Wayfield Estate with a variety of property for sale or rent in each. Transport links in the area include junction 3 of the M2 and junction 6 of the M20 which give access to the Channel Tunnel, M25, Dartford Bridge and Central London. Chatham station offers rail links into the City whilst Ebbsfleet International, with high-speed services to St. Pancras, is only a short journey by car.
